ABA

Region II provides School-Based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services to its member districts to support the implementation of student’s IEPs.  The intent of School-Based ABA services is to provide a supplementary aid and/or service consistent with NJAC 6A:14-4.5.  These services “…enable students with disabilities to be educated to the maximum extent appropriate with nondisabled peers.” 

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) meet regularly with classroom teachers and assistants, child study team members, and parents.  Student observations are conducted to support recommendations for positive behavioral supports.

Region II is committed to providing support to parents and guardians.  Parent Workshops are offered throughout the school year, where we present the fundamentals of ABA; identify and prioritize parents’ concerns regarding the behaviors of their children; and recommend ABA strategies and interventions that will address these behaviors. 

ABA individual support to families is provided upon requests and authorizations from their respective school districts. ALL students must be a part of the Region II member districts.

Region II Social Skills program is a well coordinated after-school program that meets Mondays from 4:15PM - 5:15PM. 

The goals of the Social Skills program are to foster social language and socially appropriate skills, so that these behaviors can be successfully applied with family members, peers, and adults. Activities are conducted in one of our school buildings and in the community. The staff includes highly qualified teachers, learning disability teacher consultant, and a school counselor.

The Social Skills Program is provided to students upon requests and authorizations from their respective school district. ALL students must be a part of the Region II member districts.

2025-26 ABA Calendar

Region II ABA Program follows the Pascack Valley Regional High School District (PVRHSD) Calendar.  Region II services will not be provided when PVRHSD is closed for students.
