Region II: Pascack Valley Council for Special Education

 

OUR MISSION

Region II represents a collaborative partnership among seven school districts in Northern Bergen County’s Pascack Valley area: Emerson, Hillsdale, Montvale, Park Ridge, Pascack Valley Regional High School District, River Vale, and Westwood Regional School District. By uniting our resources and expertise, Region II strengthens support for students while building meaningful partnerships with families and schools.

Our mission is to provide high-quality, cost-effective programs, services, and professional development that support students, families, and staff across our member districts.

Specialized Program

• Park Academy (ERI Program: Emotional Regulation Impairment), Emerson, NJ

A therapeutic, student-centered program that incorporates a robust and enriched curriculum. The goal is to support each student in reaching their full academic potential while promoting emotional well-being.  The students are supported through highly qualified special education teachers with no more than 10 students per class.  The program includes a board certified behavior consultant, learning disabilities teacher consultant, school counselor and mental health services through InSite Health.  Additionally, related services are provided, as required per students’ IEP.
